We represent the
twenty first century of the nanny tradition. That version has been updated to include everything that has been learned about
child care and child rearing in the past half century or more, and it has adjusted for today’s culture and today’s
families.
Hakuna Matata specializes in placing
exceptional nannies, certified baby nurses, housekeepers, vacation nannies and hotel babysitting service. We place people
on a part-time, full-time, temporary and permanent basis.
We
have a wide range of applicants, from their early twenties to special grannies. Each one brings her own unique perspective
and qualifications to child care, along with excellent recommendations from previous employers. Together, they share
a professional bond for their compassion and love for nurturing children in their care. Our experienced applicants have
varying degrees of training in such areas as first aid, CPR, swimming and continuing education in child care and go through
an extensive screening process.
An extensive interviewing
and application process allows us to do a thorough check of an applicant's past performance with previous employers.
This enables us to seek out and place nannies that have proven them to be responsible, trustworthy, caring, organized, energetic,
personable and flexible and have a joy of caring for children of all ages.
I am a British trained nanny with over 17 years of years of
experience caring for children.
I, (Colette Affaya) was born
in England. I was born into a very loving and caring family; hence that is why I feel that I have a great love of children.
This in my belief makes a huge difference in the way you go through life.
With my love of caring for children I decided that my career path would be to care for children. I completed a Btec National
Diploma in Nursery Nursing, which was a full time, two year college course.
The first family I worked for were the nicest family I could ever have wished for. I gained all my
experience in the UK. After a number of years I decided to move to the USA and continue caring for children.
